O de la Tía Chacha, que viajó a París a la Exposición de 1900, con la Señora para la que trabajaba y se volvió sola a Jerez, tras una discusión con ella. Los actuales descendientes no tenemos idea de como volvió. Pero esa es otra historia...

Women who work hard, women who take care of family, women who suffer, in many cases, abuse and contempt, but who are harder than all that.

Sabéis que no me gusta hacer una sinopsis o resumen del libro, que ya podéis encontrar en la contracubierta, suelo hablar de lo que yo siento al leerlo, los recuerdos que me trae. Esta es una historia de mujeres luchando por su futuro, como ha sido durante toda la historia de la humanidad.

Mujeres que trabajan duro, mujeres que cuidan de la familia, mujeres que sufren, en muchos casos, abuso y desprecio, pero que son más duras que todo eso.
